Self Defense Seminar

Held at the White House Recreation Center, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM
2-hour self-defense seminar taught by Self Defense Expert and Army Combatives Master Trainer, Brad Jenkins, owner of Renaissance Self-Defense.
Participants will be taught how to develop Situational Awareness to avoid confrontations. In addition, they will learn empty hand strategies to use during an attack with simple, yet effective techniques to defense yourself against an attacker.
Topics covered will include, but are not limited to:
• Situational Awareness Development
• The four ranges for Self-Defense
• Offense and Defense Techniques for each range
• The three elements of a Self-Defense altercation you want to control
• Five offensive tools and five primary targets for Self-Defense
About the Instructor:
Brad has over 25 years of military service and currently serves full-time in the Kentucky Army National Guard. He also has over 25 years’ experience teaching self-defense. He began his formal training in Jeet Kune Do Concepts under Paul Vunak in 1994. Brad trained under Paul from 1994 thru 2008, which is when he was awarded his Full-Instructor Certification. He also became a certified Army Combatives Trainer in 2005 and became an Army Combatives Master Trainer in 2014. He has managed the KY Army National Guard’s state Combatives Program since 2014. Brad also began formal training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Brian Jones and now that he resides in TN, he continues to train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitusu at The Academy in Goodlettsville, TN. As a member of the Kentucky Army National Guard, Brad has had several deployments to include Bosnia in 2003, Hurricane Katrina Response in 2005, Iraq in 2006-2007, and Iraq again in 2011. Brad’s training also includes active shooter training, full-contact pistol and knife fighting, personal security, and church security. He has trained thousands of military personal in Combatives and has also trained hundreds of clients in self-defense and fitness.
