More about our keynote speaker: With degrees in History, Psychology, and Education, Jenn Walden has served as a teacher, trainer, administrator, and evaluator in the field of education for more than 25 years.
Her work in education has included the intellectually disabled, refugees, victims of abuse, trafficking, and to date more than 3,000 teenagers in Sumner County. Jenn has been nationally recognized for her design and implementation of programs serving at-risk youth.
Outside of education Jenn works alongside her husband serving Christian nonprofits.
A rare cancer diagnosis at the age of 29 sent Jenn into a battle for her very life. During this time, she learned a great deal about the brevity of life, the power of faith, and the importance of community.
Jenn did not think it was in the cards to ever marry or have children, yet she met her amazing husband Kirk ? a single dad of three children when she was 33. Kirk and Jenn were then surprised by two miracle babies making for a tribe of 7.
Jenn is in her happy place when enjoying morning coffee with husband Kirk or spending time with her children and precious grandkids, which now make for a family grand total of 13; not bad for someone who thought she would never be a mom. Never a dull moment, she treasures every hug, talk, walk, vacation, movie night, and family dinner.
