Clerical Assistant

Ken Duley’s HealthMarkets Insurance Agency is seeking a PART TIME clerical
employee at their storefront office in White House, TN.  We are one of the top 50
HealthMarkets agencies in the country out of 3000.  We will need someone part time
(15-20 hours) and October-January that hour amount increases to 30+ hours. We are
looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a clerical assistant. The
responsibilities of the clerical assistant include answering and directing calls,
maintaining our customer electronic charts, maintaining filing systems, typing up forms
and other copy and hand addressing monthly mailings. To be a successful clerical
assistant, you should have excellent organizational and administrative skills. Ultimately,
a top-notch clerical assistant should have good communication skills, strong telephone
etiquette, and great computer skills.

Clerical Assistant Responsibilities:
 Answering and directing calls, taking messages, and setting appointments.
 Typing forms, correspondence, memos, and other materials.
 Sorting, filing, and maintaining filing systems for efficient recordkeeping and easy
 Using office equipment to check emails, send faxes, make copies, and update
computer databases.
 Maintaining customer charts in electronic filing system
 Monthly mailings (hand addressing a bulk mail every month)
 Any other duties as assigned within reason
Clerical Assistant Requirements:
 High school diploma or equivalent
 A minimum of 1 year office experience may be preferred.
 Competency with computers, physical and digital filing systems, and typing.
 Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and basic math skills.
 Good problem-solving skills.
 Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
